Hank Leukart's DooM FAQ 6.666

Die hier in einer neuen HTML-Version vorliegende, historische Sammlung regelmässig gestellter Fragen (=frequently asked questions= FAQ) vermittelt einen guten Eindruck der Begeisterung, die DooM entfacht hatte (und bis heute hat). Der Author Hank Leukart hat all diese Informationen in akribischer Handarbeit zusammengetragen und dieses faszinierende Dokument erstellt. Diverse Kapitel sind von epischer Länge, andere (Kapitel 12!!) dagegen eher kurz. In jedem Fall sollte jeder, der sich etwas ernsthafter mit DooM beschäftigt, dieses Dokument einmal überflogen haben, um zu erahnen, was alles dahinter steckt...

Bitte beachten: wohl die meisten angegebenen Email- und Serveraddressen dürften -genau wie die Rufnummern der genannten Mailboxen nicht mehr aktuell sein, da dieses Dokument aus dem jahre 1994 stammt. Die Mehrzahl der gebotenen technischen Tipps bezieht bezieht sich daher auch auf das damals fast ausschliesslich genutzte DOS. Viele der angegebenen Tricks haben unter Windows keine Gültigkeit mehr.
